We actually use vertical stripes of different sizes to measure an infant's ability to see. And there are instruments that can tell us an approximate prescription in an infant as well, allowing us to work with infants who have crossed eyes, potential amblyopia, etc. Although there aren't many practitioners who work with three-month-olds, it can be done. And the earlier the better. Talk with a pediatric specialist about your concerns.
