I only had a notation of my current computer glasses and not an actual prescription. so I am not sure from fairly recent eye tests that it will be correct. What I do not want is another pair of bifocals, which I find impossible to use at my computer & TV & and when I want to read wall signage at museums. My current in between single prescription glasses work well but are old uncomfortable plastic frames. Do i still need to get a seperate computer prescription to order glasses?

sure, you need, regular distance glasses cannot be used for computer.
