New glasses broke

I have been wearing glassed my whole life and have never had a pair break until now. Come on now, they just dropped 3ft. from my desktop to the floor. These things are going to happen to
every one. Glasses should not break dropping to the floor from this
distance and especially landing on laminate flooring. Could it be
there could have been a deffect from the cutting of the lenses.
