If the photochromic prescription glasses are good for kids?

I have bought a pair of photochromic prescription glasses for my husband online last week, I received it yesterday, my husband quite like it and my son wants a pair of photochromic eyeglasses too. I know it is very cheap and also in high quality, but I am not sure if the photochromic lenses are good for kids, my son is just 9 years old. Could you give me some advices?

Photochromic lenses are great for kids as they tend to spend more time outdoors than most *****s. They are able to protect their eyes from 100 percent of the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation.
