eyeglass lenses,the thinner the better?

Some people always think that thinner lenses are better,because thinner means more advanced technology and more expensive.In fact ,if your prescription value is below -200,you`d better not fit the thin lenses,because it`s less cost.

In my opinion,the thickness of lens depends on the material it is made of ,if the material has a high refractive index,the lens is thinner than that made of material with lower refractive index.

PC lenses are difficult to select ,because there are various of refactive index ,I don`t know which kind of eyeglass frames fit me .
