small size frame & thinner edge of lenses

what do you think if I choose a smaller size eyeglasses lens, as the edge will be thicker then, I really love to choose a pair of rimless eyeglasses, in the old days, I don't have any vision problem, I still love to buy a pair of non prescription eyeglasses in frameless style for computer using, now I need to get reading lenses, can I choose smaller size ones?
