question about aspheric lenses

so aspheric lenses are not a good as PC? and why are the PC lense known as safety lenses, are they like the same type of material used in eye goggles on building sites etc?

the aspheric lenses are also great lenses,in most cases, high index lenses cannot be tinted,while the aspherics can be.They are almost with the same thickness with the 1.61 index PC lenses
