How to select bifocal contact lenses
Pupil size and your "add," or near prescription are the two factors that your eye care practitioner will take into consideration in choosing a bifocal contact lens. There are no existing rules, although, in general, low adds are more appliable to an aspheric multifocal. Alternating vision, accomplished with a translating bifocal, is a better choice for high adds. Too large a pupil will cause problems for an aspheric multifocal lens.
