Do i need to get high index with a -4.00 lens prescription?

My prescription is -4.00 (right) and -3.50 (left) with a little bit of CYL of -0.50 of both eyes.
Do I need to order high index lenses for this prescription?Can i go with 1.57 index lenses?

You can go with 1.57 lenses but the ideal lens for your prescription would be the 1.61.
