Default Which kind is better for a starter?

Bifocal and progressives eyeglasses are both used by people who suffered only from distance and near vision, but which one is better for a starter? I am more inclined to the later one, as progressive glasses give you the intermediate distance also that a bifocal can't do, the intermediate portion of the lens it is more like normal vision, and it usually takes a good 2 weeks to feel OK, but 95% of those who have them wouldn't switch, and most progressives will blur out at some point on the outer edges of the lens in the distance portion, however the brain gets used to that and it doesn't bother most people for long!
