The diver mask can be filled to underwater at any time by the nose with air and thus prevents a negative water pressure. While swimming eyeglasses,that's impossible, cause it is used at the surface of the water and not for the dipping sport. In addition the eyeglasses become leaky if press too strongly on the connective tissue roughly around the eye sockets.
